Spectrum Water Solutions

Where treatment science meets hands-on expertise

At Spectrum, Water Solutions is where advanced treatment science meets hands-on expertise. From patented Turbo Phase Separators to turnkey commissioning, bypass, and recycling systems, our engineers, chemists, and field crews work side-by-side with your team to turn compliance challenges into performance gains.

Whether you operate an industrial complex, municipal utility, or environmental restoration project, Spectrum delivers the chemistry, equipment, and real-world insight that keep water systems safe, efficient, and sustainable — proving every day that one point of accountability makes all the difference.

Projects

Projects & Field Services

The work that happens on your site, with our people running it.

Dredging Packages

Hydraulic & mechanical removal of sediments from ponds, lagoons, and waterways.

Why it matters

Revitalizes waterbodies, restores storage, and prepares sites for expansion — delivered turnkey with safety and stewardship at every step.

Dredging services

Pond & Lagoon Surveys

Bathymetric sonar surveys that map sludge depth across the cell and return a real volume in cubic yards and dry tons.

Why it matters

The survey is where the cleanout budget is actually decided — and it comes back as a scope you can put out for bid.

Pond surveys

Turbo Phase Separator Dewatering

Patented turbo-box fleet (largest in the U.S.), belt presses, centrifuges, and geotextile tubes.

Why it matters

Roughly 2X the dry tons per haul versus typical dewatering — lower disposal cost, drier cake for beneficial reuse.

Sludge dewatering

Commissioning / Pre-Commissioning

Start-up support for new or expanded plants — equipment testing, feed-rate tuning, operator training.

Why it matters

Day-1 performance that meets design spec and avoids costly “shake-down” excursions.

Treatment

Water Treatment Solutions

Spectrum's seasoned engineers and chemists keep your water infrastructure running at peak performance — from temporary bypasses to advanced polishing.

Process Bypass

Industrial hoses, diaphragm transfer pumps, inline mixers, scrubbers and cartridge or bag filters can be packaged with any main line equipment for a true one call solution.

Bypass pumping

Effluent Polishing

Chemical precipitation, filtration, adsorption, and disinfection that meets the strictest permits.

Pretreatment

pH neutralization, oil–water separation, equalization, and metals removal that protect sewer systems and downstream biology.

Wastewater pretreatment

Water Recycling

Membranes, biological polishing, and disinfection that turn waste streams into reusable water — cutting freshwater demand and discharge fees.

Water recycling & reuse

Cleaning

Cleaning & Maintenance

Removing what has built up inside the asset, and restoring what it was designed to do.

Chemical Cleaning

Targeted formulations dissolve scale, rust, and organics in heat exchangers, boilers, and membranes — restoring efficiency and preventing unplanned shutdowns.

Cleaning & maintenance

Confined-space crews, and the disposal route behind them

Because Spectrum dewaters, profiles and disposes of whatever comes out of the vessel, cleaning and waste are one contract rather than two vendors pointing at each other. Vacuum-loadable enclosed boxes and packed-bed scrubbers handle the streams where odor and volatile containment matter.

Consulting

Technical treatment consulting

Spectrum grew out of technical wastewater consulting, and we have never charged for working out what is wrong — we sell the solution, not the diagnosis. With a full in-house laboratory behind it, that means data-driven troubleshooting rather than a catalog answer:

  • Treatability studies, microbiological profiling, and chemical fingerprinting.
  • On-site audits, operator coaching, and action plans that turn insights into measurable savings.
  • A straight answer when the fix is not something we sell.

Product Sales

Product Sales

High-performance treatment chemicals backed by technical support.

Flocculants

Advanced polymers tailored to your solids-liquid separation needs.

Coagulants

Alum and specialty blends that deliver rapid, consistent clarification.

Commodity Chemicals

Acids, bases, oxidizers, and disinfectants — safe handling, reliable supply.

Bioaugmentation

Proprietary bacteria cultures that boost biological treatment naturally.

Defoamers

Rapid knock-down of nuisance foam without upsetting plant chemistry.

Blue polymer feed panel with stainless injection loop, pressure gauge and LMI metering pump mounted to a white IBC tote in a warehouse

Chemistry

Supplied by the same team that specifies it

Flocculants, coagulants, commodity chemicals, bioaugmentation cultures and defoamers, backed by technical support from the chemists who ran the bench work on your sample. Automated polymer blending skids then deliver the solution properly hydrated — because a correctly chosen polymer that is badly hydrated performs like the wrong one.

Who Spectrum works for

Refineries, chemical plants, terminals and mills trust Spectrum with their water — most of them on recurring site contracts rather than one-off jobs.

FAQs

Can Spectrum handle treatment and disposal, or only one?

Both. Water, Environmental, Carbon and Equipment run as one team under one contract, so the same crew that treats the stream can profile, haul and document the residuals. You brief one company instead of coordinating four.

How quickly can a temporary treatment system mobilize?

Pre-engineered skids and trailers are held wet-tested and ready. For carbon systems Spectrum targets compliance within 48 hours of arrival; for dewatering and bypass work the limiting factor is usually site access rather than equipment availability. Call the 24/7 line with your flow rate and contaminant and you will get a real timeline.

Do you run treatability studies before recommending a chemistry?

Yes. The in-house laboratory runs jar tests, treatability studies, microbiological profiling and chemical fingerprinting, so the polymer or coagulant you are quoted is the one that worked on your sample rather than the one on the shelf.

What size flows do you work with?

DAF units run from 50 to 1,000 gpm, carbon systems from 50 gpm skids to trailers engineered for 1,200 gpm on the liquid side, and dredging and dewatering packages scale with the box fleet. Larger flows are handled by paralleling units rather than by turning the work away.
